6 Hour Day Workshop

Trauma-Informed Manager Training

A workshop that teaches managers to recognise how trauma can show up in performance, communication and behaviour, and to respond with safe language and clear boundaries, without causing further harm.

What it covers

Managers often see the signs first.

A change in performance, a shift in how someone communicates, behaviour that seems out of character. This workshop helps managers read those signs with more understanding, and gives them the words to use in the conversation that follows.

Recognise the signsHow trauma can manifest in performance, communication and behaviour.
Use safe languagePractical wording for difficult conversations that avoids causing further harm.
Hold clear boundariesA response that sits between an immediate referral and acting as a therapist.

How it runs

Delivered in your organisation as a workshop over a 6 hour day, for leaders of people and team managers. Get in touch to talk through your managers and the pressures they are under.

Questions

About Trauma-Informed Manager Training

Who is this workshop for?

Leaders of people and team managers who support people through difficult periods but are not clinicians.

Will managers be expected to act as therapists?

No. The workshop gives managers a practical response framework instead of an immediate referral or acting as a therapist, and makes clear where their support ends and referral begins.

What does trauma-informed management mean?

Managers understand how trauma can show up at work, in performance, communication and behaviour, and respond with safe language and clear boundaries, without causing further harm.

What should a manager say to someone who may be struggling?

Wording matters in these conversations. The workshop gives managers tested language for difficult moments, so they are not improvising.

How long is the workshop?

A 6 hour day, delivered in your organisation.

Where do you deliver, and what does it cost?

We aim to deliver on site, and can deliver anywhere in the UK. Location, delegate numbers and cost are agreed in a quotation after an initial consultation with you.
